The Snowpocalypse

The October storm hit us pretty hard. We thought the hurricane was bad, but this was a lot worse. At least a foot of heavy wet snow, and despite shaking the trees free of snow around the house every couple of hours the shrubs and trees were pretty traumatized. Our huge mulberry tree is gone, part of the old apple tree fell off, and our euonymous were pretty broken up.

The real damage is being once again without power for 6 days – thus the lull in postings. I’ve never been so glad to have a wood-stove. Power came back up this morning and the weekend will be spent clearing out the damage.
