New Door Latches

New Door Latches

Doing a little bit of home improvement this weekend, a really minor change but feels like a major improvement. Ever since we moved in we have had rubber bands holding the doors closed on the upstairs cabinets, they have been painted too many times and don’t close quite all the way. It wouldn’t be a big issue except our cat uses it’s paw to pry them open, climb in, close the door and sleep on our toilet paper and bath soap. Thus, the need for rubber bands to thwart her mischief.

I’ve been looking for nice door latches that would match the age of our home and finally found some made by Acorn Iron in Massachusetts. About 15 minutes with a screwdriver and no more rubber bands.
