Another animal for the menagerie

This spring we had a truckload of mulch/soil delivered to the house and dumped on our driveway. We’ve used most of it on the vegetable garden, but there was a good bit left over. This weekend we finally moved it out of the way and in the process found a garter snake that had been living in the pile. We’ve also found there is a mate living under deck right outside the kitchen window, and another rather brazen one that likes to sun in the middle of the driveway.
