20130614egg_pastaOur pea plants have been looking very healthy and happy this year, and late last week I was excited to notice the first few blooms.  I’d forgotten though, how quickly flowers turn into actual peas, so I was surprised and delighted to find a handful of edible-sized guys this morning.  They were sweet and delicious in only the way that the first morsels of the year eaten right off the plant can be.  By this weekend there should be enough for a meal for the two of us.  Perhaps with some of our Guinea egg pasta….
